villosum

I got this awarded around 2017 from a division I got from Glen Decker. Pure golden yellow with a speck of green bos on the staminode. No brown hairs or spots on petal bases. NS 12.5 cm.

This villosum got a Certificate of Horticultural Merit (CHM). This is done to put a record in the AOS awards to serve as a basis of comparison for this variety of villosum. I had hope for an AM but such is life 😂.

Just opened about 2 days. Pretty good red dorsal. A division I got in spring of 2021, blooming for the first time since arrival. NS 9.5 cm, DS 5.5 cm wide. Culture: Warm wet summers, slightly dryer, cooler winters. Bright light 2500 fc.

After blooming my villosum aureum I started to get more interested in the species. So I decided to try a couple more plants. This one I bought from Tropical Gardens in B.C. from the line breeding of Orchid Inn. The flowers just opened for two days and may expand a little more. I like the color...
