These are three of my favorite clones out of my own breeding from P. niveum x P. Van Ness (P Sandro Botticelli). All three are very small plants with relatively big flowers. The NS of the flowers is 10-11 cm and the leave span is 18 (the white one) to 24 cm.

Even if the shape of the petals is not good I think that they will be quite useful for further breeding of better teacup Paphs.

Nice flowers. I particularly like the second one with the brushed pink color.

Unfortunately, the wider petals of niveum don't always translate to their progeny, especially with a Paph like Paph Van Ness, an older complex, which has fairly narrow petals to start. Here is a picture Paph Van Ness 'Husky' HCC/AOS, which I took recently. Unfortunately, the pouches were deformed on some of the blooms. Notice how the niveum suppressed the yellow/green Van Ness to produce the whites and pinks.

Thank you Ross for the picture of your Van Ness 'Husky'! What a show of flowers! I used exactly the same clone 'Husky' for this breeding. I think the niveum parent did a good job and will do even better in further generations.

Interesting cross to produce small Paphs. I won't say I'm surprised but I would't have expexted that wide range of diversity of the progenies.

I have hoped for a wide range of diversity and I'm glad I got it! But I didn't expect to see a pure white flower as one expression of this cross! Maybe an effect of Golden Diana as one of the grandparents?
