Wonderful Hoyas! I am a fan of the pubicalyx group. Unfortunately I lost quite a few a while back to virus. Acquired two very expensive divisions that turned lethal. I really hadn't expected that - I'm careful with the orchids, just didn't think in terms of Hoyas (had the same problem with succulents several years ago)....I'm getting tired of viruses!

You have some nice Hoya. I really like carnosa, my plant is from cuttings of a plant that has been in the family for many years. I like the fragrance, keep it in my bedroom window so I can smell it at night in spring.

I have a few species, recently bloomed a Hoya patella, a big flower (2 inches or about 5 cm natural spread) on a modest vine, unfortunately it seems to only do one flower at a time for me. This is only the 3rd year this cutting has bloomed since I got it in 2007. The fragrance is not pleasant, almost a vinyl odor, fortunately it is not a strong fragrance.

Thanks, all. Im not a big hoya grower, just keep some for fun. Those from the carnosa/pubicalyx group grow like weeds, really at breakneck speed. Thankfully the fast-growing portions are almost always leafless, so they don't take up more room. I have seen some with large flowers like the one Leo posted. One was very dark red, almost black.

I love Hoyas! Here is my pubicalyx. I think it's variety Red Buttons but it might be Chimera. I forgot to check the tag.

And here is my Hoya fungii which just bloomed today:
