Certainly a classic!
Sometimes the older classic species are just downright beautiful as is the case with insigne. Perhaps with every new species, year after year, these species can get buried so deep in collections that we orchid growers lose touch with the older things. The Classics!! So it was just so heart warming to me to see one of the oldies, but goodies, show up on the forum. Paphiopedilum insigne is one such species. And this one is such a nice example of the species!! It was such a nice thing to see it this morning here on our Thanksgiving Day. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty!!! 💕 🥰 👍

A classic species indeed...used as a foundation in complex hybrid (bulldog type) a lot in the past. Nice to see it here.
