Very nice clone. How many growths is this beauty?

P.S. Ice never answers but I thought I would ask anyways!

It's spectacular! I too wish Ice would answer questions. It would be nice to know his/her culture etc on beautifully flowered plants.

Much needed for my collection.

Spoke to Glen (Piping Rock Orchids) about the availability of anitum. He told me they are legal in the states cause they are a variety of adductum which CITES does not cover.

From my knowledge, I remember seeing a picture of Frank Smith adductum var anitum in an issue of AOS magazine.

Hopefully that is still true. There was an internal CITES debate as to whether they were going to let that one fly given the timing of when it was being bounced back and forth between the taxonomists arguing about the species or variety status of anitum.

Cocineanum vs varieties there of for barbigerum falls under the same issue.

Once all the pre status species got grandfathered in, CITES was on the look out for everything getting turned into varieties of old recognized species as a way of circumvention.
