This has just opened today and still not set but I'm not sure if it will be flowering here again.
Its quite small, about bellatulum size, it might get bigger, who knows, time will tell.

Paphiopedilum wenshanense x Paphiopedilum In-Charm White

It's an interesting cross Roy, I really love the flower. It's definitely one worth keeping.

Very very beautiful!!!!!!! I like the combination of white and green petals!!!!

Very interesting. not quite what I've had expected (and you too, apparently), but I have to agree with the others it has its charm.

Would I keep it if I were you? Depends, on how many more you have to come from that cross, actually.

Best wishes, Carsten

Carsten, I only had 2 plants of the cross, the first one flowered 2 years ago and was almost identical to this BUT it was in a 50mm pot and didn't survive the flowering. This one I will flower again if I can but its on the endangered list.

Update on color change

Members were interested in whether or not the flower would whiten up after it had been out for a while, well here is a pic I took today of this seedling. Not only has the color changed but also the shape.

Sorry I disagree with 'great change', IMO the early opening color & shape was much better.

In Charm Pearl = (wenshanense x (leucochilum x White Knight))
2 doses of brachys I would have expected a much rounder flower. White Knight isn't a consistient parent for round flowers. I've seen this in seedlings I purchased too. A bit of a disappointment.
