My first AOS award, Ascocenda Marilyn Mirro 'Peter Lin', HCC/AOS in 1996. Not a phalaenopsis. I gave it away to friends at orchid society because I have no plan to breed with it. Years later I changed my mind to want to keep it for sentimental reason, and I was able to get a keiki back.

Good question. I gave up on breeding Asconcenda and Vanda because it would take years to see the result. But 15 years seemed to fly by just like that.

Buying plants have always been easier than hybridizing.
