Besseae, still my all time favorite

Ever since I first laid my eyes on this species in Ecuador in 1991 on a trip with Lillian Severin I have loved this plant. A seedling was purchased a year or so later and the rest is history. Many have bloomed, some have gone but that excitement like I had in Guayaquil never fades.

The anticipation....
