Looking good. Thanks for the kind words. We obsess a lot about the shipping.

The shipping was incredible. My family was stunned at how carefully the spike was taken care of! I am so grateful. Can't wait to see the bloom in a few days!!

Sweet. What's the leafspan on yours? I saw a few in bud last week & was amazed to see how small the plants were.

Leafspan of blooming growth is quite small - maybe 8 inches wide, 7 inches tall? I was surprised, since I know the kovachii parent is large. We'll see how large the next growth will be in time.

The bud started opening today, and should be fully open tomorrow or so. I'll post pictures soon!

Well, here it is, clocking in at just over 10 cm (should get bigger). Color is an amazing dark rose (more like the non-flash picture). I am honestly not 100% satisfied with shape, with recurved petals and narrow dorsal, and the pouch is deformed, likely from shipping in spike. But I will wait on another blooming to see if some of these issues improve. But for now, I'm just enjoying a beautiful Fritz, and I hope you do too!

Here's the second flower fully opened! A bit more of an interesting shape, slightly better dorsal, but petals still unfortunately reflexed and the pouch is deformed in the same way. Let's hope the pouch is better next blooming.

I'm still happy with this plant! Color is terrific and it's always nice to have a blooming plant. :D

Are your conditions warm? Flower form on these is very dependent on temperature. Cooler is much better.

Conditions are pretty warm. Will work to cool things down so that the next blooming can be better! Thanks for the info--
