So I mentioned to my friend on the Big Island that now that I moved from sea level to a place with higher elevation(1,100 Ft.) that I might want to try a few Phrags. Just opened a box from him with about 2 dozen Phrags, mostly species and kovachii crosses. Going to go pot them up, will post some pictures later...

Sorry gang, technology is not one of my strong points(yesterday my smart phone laughed at me and told me to get a grip). Took some pics and have to make dinner before I figure out how to post them.

Nice acquisitions! if you ever decide to get rid of some of these let me know!!! :D

BTW a lot of our Phrags are coming from Hawaii now. Quintal comes to mind.

Funny you should mention Quintal, Kai is hands down the BEST grower I have ever come across, and VERY generous. Not to mention a really nice guy...

He sells plants, but strictly wholesale. He supplies big growers who sell at orchid shows and have websites. Most of what I got won't be available for a year or so.

Loosk like a nice bunch of phrags you got. I ordered a Phrag. pearcei through a local vendor and they got it from Hawaii. I wonder who they got it from...
