this has happened to me quite a few times now. new incoming species brachys will grow until they bloom or blast, die back to nearly nothing (only tiny green nubbins protruding from the roots), then come back with a vengeance (new sometimes multiple growths with nice thick succulent leaves). brachy hybrids are usually spared from this crazy cycle, but not always. curious to see if this happens to anyone else? i'm not complaining, as the new growth makes me think my plants are happy and thriving, but good lordy dying back to nearly nothing is a scary time.

example godefroyae black with super juicy new leaves!
