Ray Bradbury, author of Farenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles is dead at 91. He was a master of the word and a magnificient story teller. I still remember the awe I felt reading Farenheit 451. In a world where books are burned, there are men and women hiding in the forest learning all the great books by heart so that they will live on, each man and woman becoming a living book and passing it on. I loved his style. Rest in peace Ray Bradbury.

Probably my favorite author when i was a young child. I wish i could get back the feeling of wonder i had when reading The Martian Chronicles or his short story collections like S is for Space. The world is better for his having been here.

Wow I didn't realize was still alive, but that's a nice long life. He was one of my favorite authors when I was in school.

I liked most of his books, especially the 'small town' stories and books

I always liked his writing, because his style let me create vivid images of the story in my mind. I often don't like seeing movies of good books because they just get hollywoodized, and lose much of what the author conveyed with words. I recently saw one of the more recent versions of 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe' stories (c.s. lewis), and in the movie it's just one constant battle and running around. the old pbs versions of the l,tw and tw were much better imo. much is lost with movies....
