Blooming again. Always from the top never the bottom of growths.

Interesting! So some clones bloom from the top like other catts, and other clones bloom from the bottom? Do some clones bloom either way from year to year?

Very cool bloom!!
To expand on the questions- I thought all catts bloomed on top of the leaf or leaves over the pseudobulb. Where do the bottom ones bloom?

Often this species will bloom from new growths on the rhizome that don't produce leaves or bulbs.

sometimes walkerianas make a specialized growth that isnt even really a pseudobulb just for the (short) inflorescence. they may do this sometimes and not other times..i think the majority i have do bloom off of the modified growth.

I have to agree with you Pete. The others I have always bloom from the bottom on the fake pseudo. This plant is a cross of Pentative(?) X something. The other parent escapes me at the moment. But I've been suspicous of this clone for a very long time. Another interesting fact: it had 4 flowers at the time of it's award on one growth.
