I didn't expect for it to flower this season since I divided it just last month, and wasn't particularly gentle about preserving the roots intact. So I was surprised to see it in bud last week, and then in flower this morning.

Great flowers and when the plant was surprising you with flowers when you didn't expect them after dividing the plant ... the better. So aparently you did all right.
