The bud developed stealthily behind some leaves and opened before I knew what it was.
A soft pink with 3-4 colors in throat. Bud was a confusing yellow!
Not a bad shape for quad as they usually opened very cupped. Thus the silver medal acknowledgement.
I hear it usually is better than this so this seems like it was a hiccup post-division ‘first’ bloom. One poor bud blasted. NS 12.5 cm.
Fun fact: true quadricolor leaves can be rolled like a cigar without ripping, tip to base.
