Received this in a pot 1 year ago with 1 root sticking out the top, I put the cork behind it and it slowly crawled itself onto it98d7a3cc68340fdbd82e490636c33db0.jpg22b1924a8c6ef194a8bc3fc16d97f4d7.jpg

North Korea "Rocketbaby", check the title name. WTF is "Cattylea hippodamia"? Don't tell me you think it is a species....

Not sure why you would think, I would think it's a species.. it's primary hybrid brassovola nodosa x aaclandiae, and rocketbaby?? My kids were reading a statement from a few north korean escapees and started crying because their lives are such ****, girls raped everyday, whole families enslaved, no electricity half the time, because of kim jong un, so all my north korean brothers and sisters are suffering bad!! They need freedom!!

I wish the spotting was darker on my cattylea hippodomia, oh well, it could be because my temps are so high, maybe next time

h means species H means hybrid, don't you know that?

Since you put North Korea for your location(where you want to be in your case), you have earned yourself a nickname. Can't give you rocketman....
You put "north korea" as your location but I don't see "your story" has anything to do with that...other than looking for attention.

LOL! You have spelled Cattleya as cattylea twice....you really don't know how to spell Cattleya, do you?

Correct me if I am wrong(due to name changes), was it supposed "Bc." instead of Cattleya?

I don't care, bc, cattylea or cattleya whatever lol.. this posting is about the picture I posted anyways, I've done some research on the cattleyas and bcs I have and they are growing very well, I'm not going to say I'm a veteran catt grower because I'm not, but I do enjoy them, the taxonomy of all of them gets very confusing

Thanks tom! My daughter wants to move to japan, so we are studying japanese, she's been studying japanese history and modern life there, and loves it, she's 12 and has a long way to go, but I told her she has my blessing

That is a really cool looking hybrid. I didn't know anything about this hybrid, and google image shows lots of variation within this primary hybrid. Yours looks interesting because the flowers look pretty different from my mental image of combining the two parents.

Are you studying Japanese along with your daughter? That must be fun. I finally get to do child-initiated-learning, too, in the last 2 years or so since my son is getting old enough (still 6). I hope that you and your daughter get to go to Japan some day.

Troy, that's cool that you are learning together. Japan is a great place for young people to live and get a new view on life, but I recommend they leave for greener pastures when the time comes. Really safe place too.

If this is not a bc hippodamia, tanh would have no problem sending me a replacement, please let me know!!!:)

You are the only one who called it "cattylea", dude.... Perhaps you really don't know what Bc. stands for either.
