first bloom of this small, easy growing species, with colorful flowers:

was just about to say the same thing.. looks a bit pinker than most hermannii ive seen. like intermediate between helenae and henryanum. ive got a hermanii open now and its nowhere near that bright pink.

leaves are less than 1cm wide and 10cm long, only a very few species have so tiny leaves.

No doubt it is P. hermanii.
Needless to say it isn't what you've expected but nevertheless a beautiful flower. You can be proud of it.

Best regards from Germany, rudolf

Whaterver is it is it's neat. I dont know much about paph 'families' but is it in the same 'group' (or whatever the term) as henryannum?

How small is it?

after some research it seems to be a true hermanii... not so bad after all, I like it a lot, but I will tell the seller

Both species are just as illegal in the USA, and both are about as hard to come by in Europe too I bet.

That is the darkest hermanii I've seen. very nice:clap::clap:
