This is a piece from Nikv's plant. The whole plant photo is pretty bad, but I wanted to show the length of the inflorescence as well as the size of the plant.

I water less in the darker months. Seems to help.

That is lovely Dot, seems any orchid Nik V keeps, it is a better than average clone, this is lovely. You have grown it well.

I found the only time my Coelogyne do well (in my light garden) is when I hang them, either in baskets, or hang the pot. It must be the extra air movement that helps, because light and water are the same. A pot on the shelf under the lights, within 2 years, the Coelogyne has died of rot.

Someday I will have to give C dayanum a try.

Superb clone! It has about 30% extra spike length than my clone. Grown into a clump it will be a show stopper!
