I saw in the other thread that the petals looked hesitant to open. Did you have to help them along?

No, I did not touch them. But we had some nice days so the temperature could have been slightly high with lower than normal humidity (in the greenhouse); this could of course influence the cupping tendency. If its genetic, well that is bad luck. I have another one that seems to come as well, but its very early. No stem elongation so far.

Update: just got answer from Alfredo, he says its the first and that I should register it. I answered him that he did the job, I just grew it. Am I stupid?
Anyhow its an honor to be asked I think.
The flower keeps its colors better than most kovachii hybrids I have seen. Has got a bit flatter as well, but shape could be improved in the sense of flatness.
There are at least 4 buds on a very stiff and upright stem. The plant has a very good stature no need for staking at all.

I love it ! Nice work !! :)

So hum..if Rosalie Dixler is kaieteurum x besseae and MDC is sargentianum x besseae, does anyone know if there's a difference between this hybrid and the
the hybrid La Vingtaine ?
