A plant that was bred at the EYOF and then made its way across the pond to Orchid Inn. It was then bought by a guy in the uk from Orchid Inn so came across the pond. I bought it from him on eBay. It still has its Orchid Inn tag.
Its a bit toothy but the shape and colour is really good. The plant isn’t yet full sized so maybe there is some improvement left.

A knowledgeable friend told me that is a polyploid trait. One of my 4N Grouvilles has rather pronounced toothiness; some of the others, not so much. But I love the color and texture of your Don (and how beautifully you grow all of your Phrags). Best, Kate

Ah well, the bloom is beautiful despite
the "horns". The color is splendid.

It is a polyploid trait Kate, but there are polyploid plants without teeth!
Maybe the EYOF kept the best non toothed ones,

The texture is like cardboard.

The color is marvelous, but the petals are a bit cuppy.
I've got a few EYOF Phrags and have been impressed with
absolutely none of them. How long has this bloom been
open? Perhaps it will un-cup?

I appreciate thicker texture. Plus I love the shape of the lip. Hopefully the cupping will stop in subsequent bloomings
