Eumelia Arias 'Puppy face'

First time it blooms under my care! I looooove it! The color is more lilac in real... Love the swirl, love it all!

Puppy face? It's just because of the angle of the flower on the stem... You know when you talk to a dog and it just tilt its head with its ears up while listening to you? That's what the flower looks like to me That's why the 'Puppy face'!

Nice! Eumelia Arias is one of my favorite P. kovachii hybrids. The flowers are large and many clones are fragrant.

I divided my EA in the spring and for some reason it was not happy about that. One of the divisions just looks pitiful, and the other is only now starting to develop a new growth, so unfortunately I don't think I'll get to see flowers from it this Fall. Previously the plant was blooming every 7 - 9 months, so this hybrid seems to be mostly nice and vigorous.

Thank you. I'm interested in how it compares to Fritz Schomburg. My plants are basically the same size, but the Eumelia Arias hasn't bloomed yet.
