First Bloom Paphiopedilum niveum

This is a first time blooming on a single fan plant I got at Woodstream Orchids open house. It’s (niveum ‘Pino Blanc’ x niveum ‘Champagne’) It’s a good size flower it’s cupped a little more than I like... 7cm NS. If it flattens out some on the next blooming it will be quite a bit bigger.

I suspect it will be flatter when it blooms again in warmer weather. Most of my spring blooms have been mediocre with this endless chill.

I’m hopeful that’s the case. I have another niveum in bud right now and I’ll post a picture when it opens.
