Thought someone would like to see this. When the roots started to show from the bottom of the pot I cut the bottom out and placed it on a larger pot.The roots are now very attached the larger pot and both are in NZ sphagnum and large perlite with some oyster shell added.

Beautiful bloom. I think it's an underated PK hybrid because of the first pic posted a few years back that the flower quality wasn't very nice.

Shiva, if you're looking for one, get it at the next show from ecuagenera. I bought one in bloom at last October show for 35-45$.. It had a very nice dark pinkish-purple flower... :)
 
The flowers seems to have filled out more and improved in shape and colour Ed. That's a great bloom.

This is probably the cheaper way to go if you want a kovachii. This grex took on so much of the PK and you can get them for half of what a PK costs these days.
 
I agree with you! Very beautiful alternative to kovachii. But there is some variability in color, right?
