I'm new to this forum and to orchids in general. I have two paphs. One I received 3 months ago and it is growing like a weed so I purchased a second one two days ago. I hear that this is the early signs of a life long orchid addiction. I am also talking my husband into taking me to the local society's meeting this week. Nice to meet you, unknown friends! LadyDawn

Welcome to Slippertalk Lady Starbrook!

Stick with us and we'll have your Paph. collection all plumped up in no time. You'll probably need a few Phrags too. :D

Thanks for the correction, JeanLux, I type a lot better on a pc than a laptop. %^ ) I was addicted to quilting until my wrists and arms got repetitive stress injurys. Once nice thing about orchids, you don't have to show off a new quilt at the meetings!

Hi Lady Starbrook to Slippertalk! I am from Reno and I go to the Sacramento meetings and show. Do you attend this meeting and shows? Sorry I have not attended the Fresno shows.

Ramon:)

No intention of correcting you, just confirmation that the addiction consists (also) in adding more and more plants :):):)!!! Jean

Welcome to the forum!! You came to the right place!! We are all seriously addicted to slippers and are great enablers!!

WELCOME Lady Starbrook from the chilly midwest! I'm sure you'll enjoy being a member of an orchid club.
Last year at the orchid show in Madison there were some outstanding orchid quilts! Sorry to hear about the repetitive injuries, hopefully lifting the watering can won't aggravate it!

Welcome from Elk Grove. I'm a quilter too. I've quilted for many years and no injuries so far;> But, I don't do a ton of hand quilting, so my machine takes the brunt of the labor.

Yep - see my post just before yours! This is the product of a year or so of this lovely addiction! And, by the way, I'm in San Francisco.

Thanks for the big welcome. So far I have not been to a society meeting. But there is one here in Fresno on Thursday. The RS injuries are also from work, I'm a computer operator so I keyboard a lot. I love all the pics I've been seeing here. I can tell this is a great hobby to be trapped in!

Welcome to slippertalk! Yes, it is a great hobby to be trapped in, although I've never thought of it quite like that. But I guess it's true. :D
