I just bought this plant in bloom. I normally avoid multiflorals because of the large size, but I just had to have this little cutie. This is a primary hybrid crossed with a species. It is growing in a 3 1/2 inch pot with a 13 inch leaf span.

I have some ideas, but no direct guess. I see sanderianum in there, and with it being small it’s hard to imagine a wilhelminiae type isn’t another element. Really nice though—I’ll be interested to see what it is because I too like multiflorals but am lacking in space.

Boy is it ever pretty!!! And the small size is a big ++++, in my book.

Could it possibly be Prince Edward of York crossed with philippinense??

Just a guess!

Could it be small possibly because it has a cochlo in its parentage (although I don't see any cochlo in the flower.. :p). My guess is Honey (primulinum x philippinense) x sanderianum... :)

That's exactly it! The cross was made by Wharton Sinkler of Castle Rock Orchids. A friend has one of his Paph Honey's and it is a vigorous, but very petite plant

I do not see one ounce of cochlo in it. I guess if the tag says it then it must be so but I'm not too sure about that.

I see it in the coloration, a bit of the pouch and some waviness added to the leaves.

I agree with Candace, the overall coloring is subdued by the prim giving a nice pastel blending and the staminode has prim all over it!
