We had a very pleasent Solstice Eve fire with neighboors and friends.

Looking forward to turning another years corner for longer days and happy growing:clap:

It can only get better here. On the 21st, a horrendous ice storm came through and left a 1/2" coating of ice on every surface. Trees and power lines down everywhere. We got power back last night and internet this afternoon. Phone service is still out. Thousands of homes and businesses in Michigan are still without power.

Hope everyone is safe dealing with ice and cold. We had lots of snow, then it melted with warm; now warm rain is flushing everything and tomorrow we'll probably have snow again and quite cold the next night. I was driving through 3-4" snow through my quarter mile long driveway, luckily flat!

Luckily, our home is also on the generator -- at least the furnace, the water pump and the refrig & freezer, so we could bring my husband's 93 year old Mom with a broken ankle here until she can go for surgery.
