Hello averyone
My name is mick
I've been growing paphs for about 1.5 years now. I started with two that I picked up at Trader Joe's witch I kept on my kitchen counter with a 4 ft flourecent. Well I met a friend that has two big green houses with tousands of orchids. I bought some more online. So I built a indoor greenhouse with lights. That worked pretty good. Well I had to move (girlfriend problems) so this winter I built a little greenhouse outside 9'x9'. since i putt the plants in there, they have been growing great. I was using rain water mixed with tap water. But in the spring, summer, fall it doesn't rain here, so a friend gave me a RO system and I have been messing around with that to get it right. anyway I guess I got some sort of bug because I have 62 paphs, 5 phrags, and 15 other orchids. Im pretty new at all this but I'm learning. So try to bare with me. Thanks for having me.

I did not have insects' problems until I got too many plants.
At least, with a greenhouse, you can use some pesticides.
I don't really like to use pesticide inside the house.

Hi Mick!!! Welcome to the forum from Luxembourg!!!! You will find lots of information here, also about this bug species:):)!! Jean

Welcome Mick. You should learn a lot about Slippers here. Unfortunately you'll have to go elsewhere for girl friend advice!

Glad to meet you Mick!
