Hey guys! I've been noticing some tiny spots on the upper side of the 2 new leaves of my delenatii alba. The spots develop WHILE the leaves are coming out of the crown and no more spots develop while the leaves are fully grown. None of the older leaves are affected as well. If you look closely at the photo you will see a spot on the leaf just coming out of the crown. Checked for insects and found none. Any thoughts? thanks!!

Too funny, Eric! I'm kinda paranoid about spots! And what really worries me is the fact that they develop while the leaves are coming out form the crown.

Looked for mites. None found. And I thought mites damage the underside of leaves first? The leaves are flawless underneath...

Look harder. When I found them they were on both sides of the leaves. (the pits only on the top) There were at least 3 different species. (very very small!!) Some may have been predatory but I killed the lot
The damage you see would probably have occured months ago.
Any way after spraying, The pitted leaf problem went down dramatically. You never get them all and you need to rotate your miticides as well.

How is your humidity? Mine is not as high as I would like..
