:clap: that owl is something else! As is the mimicing bird, it's ashame it could be losing it's home.:(

..... but that lyre bird is even more unbelievable...mimicking chainsaws and camera shutters...almost seems impossible.
Mimicking birds are fanscinating. We had an African Grey that was a riot. Some things you had to work on to get him to repeat but other things he heard just a couple of times & that was it! What was amazing was his choice of words at the right time - ex. drop something, what would the bird say? - oh ****!
He wouldn't mimic the phone ringing but he'd be saying 'Hello' when it rang.
Sneeze - he'd say God bless you!
The dogs would bark - Quiet! that's enough, cut it out!
the list goes on, he was one cool bird!

LOL reminds me of a friend's african grey... somehow, it didn't like my friend's girlfriend.. it was sweet with everybody but her. No one could everunderstand why it didn't like her... but the funny is that everytime my friend's girlfriend came into the same room as the parrot, this started yelling: "Bad girl! Bad Girl! Bad girl!!"

Have you guys read a book called Birdology? Really terrific chapters on several kinds of fascinating birds. One is the parrots, including the famous dancing "Snowball" and a couple particularly well documented African Grays.
