this is Lunacy 'Moonbeam' AM/AOS from Klehm's. In Feb. we had an IOS meeting/wine & cheese tasting there. There were several raffle plants & I won the last one which was not of interest to me, I was told to look around, you can trade it for something else - now did I get a deal?! I'm taking the pic a couple days early as I wanted to repeat a cross that didn't take last year with my other Lunacy clone. Lunacy = Hellas x Skip Bartlett)

and who did I cross it with?

In the side by side pic, Skip The Buss has been open for a couple of weeks so the lower edge of the dorsal is starting to curl. My separate post for STB was taken when it was open for just a few days, so it's actually pretty nice, I would like to see a taller stem, hopefully Lunacy will lengthen it a bit. This is one of my favorite complexes, the flower is really sturdy, it's got substance! Arnie indicated it's been a good breeder and gave a nod when I indicated I wanted to try this cross. This morning I did the reciprocal cross, that's the one that didn't take last time and it was also with my other Lunacy so hopefully one will take this time!

You're not gonna believe this, .... I checked my stored pollen, 1/15/11 I pulled pollen from this plant on it's previous blooming ... which means I didn't get this one in Feb, I got my other one then, this one came from Home Depot! Still a deal!
