I think a cooler and quite dry but very bright time during the phase of dormancy in the winter is needed.
Then when the new growths and inflorescences show up in the spring give water and good fertilizer to feed the new growths, never let the plant dry out.
I would keep the plant outside on a sheltered spot in the summer.

Very Very Nice!

I am new to Lycaste, how do you tell the difference between a spike starting and a new leaf/bulb?

I find that not so easy to explain: To me, the spikes are somehow more pigmented (reddish-brown) and have another shape in comparison to the new growths.

That's excellent. How big is the pot on this one? Is aromatica one of the smaller lycastes? Do you re-pot every year? I too struggle with these guys.

The pot is 11 cm. I don't know much about other Lycaste, aromatica is my only one yet. It's quite small I think, but when the new bulb-growth is matured later, it's not that small any more.
The plant was repotted a few weeks ago, I think you should pot every (1-)2 years when the new growths appear. Be careful, you can hurt your hand quite easily because of the thorns at the top of the leafless pseudobulbs.

Thank you for the helpful info.

Every time I see a lycaste, I think I need one. Then I realize I have no room. Then a voice in my head says "but, they're deciduous!" then the voice of reason responds "you have no room for the deciduous orchids you have now! You think you do in the winter, but then summer comes!"

And the struggle continues...
