Magic Lantern Two forms

Bloomed out two Magic Lanterns. The one with the stronger markings was made with micranthum var ebernum.

Also a bonus vietnamense. 12.5cm.

I crossed the viet with the ML.

What's not to like about the second one? Great markings and very full!
I believe that this cross came from Taiwan. We were quite surprised when it opened, as we were accustomed to the other type of ML.

Yes indeed, maybe the shape of the pouch is not as good as it is with #1. But how goes the saying - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
BTW - all three flowers are excellent ones.

I suspect the second one would catch most people's eye first. In addition to the markings, what strikes me right off the bat is the variation in the two staminodes.

Both of them have pretty light colours for the cross. This is unusual and nice. I like the pastel colours and the shape of #1 better than the excellent tesselation on #2. Nice vietnamense, too.
