I got this off eBay (Icepengyn) a few weeks ago in low bud.
not a fan of tonsum flowers as I find them rather boring, but I love their leaves, and this such little size, I could not resist.
So I got the smallest plant offered.

As the bud developed, I was very excited about the size.
Now the flower is fully open and it is bigger than the plant itself!
It is in 2in pot.

Very cute plant and a good form flower. Tonsums are very easy to grow and the leaves are pretty if kept under good shade. Thats a good buy.

Lol!!! That is awesome!!!! Is this a consistent outcome? Is the root system good?

This is actually a selfing of a miniature clone, and a few that are available are all in 2in pot although mine was the smallest.
I don't know much about the parent, so can't answer your question.
Id love to know! Maybe miniature mutation that just randomly rose among regular tonsum or stable population of their own??

Whatever it is, I'm very happy with this small cute plant.
Flower isn't bad for tonsum either!

In person, it's much greener and glossier.

I've seen these listed on Ebay, too, and have had to work very hard to resist getting one. They look so small, and seem like a good candidate for growing under lights on a shelf. Even if the flower isn't much to my taste, it's hard to resist a mini like this.

I think there are still a couple left on eBay.
Hurry and get one or two!!! :)

Ahh I think there was one left last night when I checked. Then I started watering some of my neos and realized that I can't. With the space limitations I don't know if I can give it the kind of care it needs.

I'll figure it out in q4 when I'm back from vaca.

Maybe I should add the clonal name in the thread title for better expose, but I can't edit it now. Or I don't know how.

I don't know the details on this particular clone. I wish I knew.
I do see slight copper tone, so there! :)

Regarding the cup and paper towel, the cup is a plastic saucer from a garden center that I use for all 2inch pots. I use 4 inch deli container for larger pots, and 8 inch zip lock container for pots over 4.5 inch.

Since I don't want water dripping on the floor, I use saucers.
I use paper towel to soak and dry out any excess water. :)

This is smaller than most neos! :)

I think I just snapped up the last one, at least for now. I had been watching the listing for a while, and buying was a reflex when I saw it was the last. Of course, I couldn't let it make the trip alone, so it will have 3 traveling companions.

Good for you! :)

I almost bought wardii in bud, too, but I already bought one along with something else elsewhere. :)
