Takes us back! I'm not sure if I like that reminder!:p
The photos are fine! There can be quite the variety!

they're mostly from before the factory moved from chicago to china in 2003 (you can tell by taking off the top cap and looking at the bottlecap below it. if lava lite is written in red, it's chicago. if it's just a sticker on the cap, china...). there have been lots of quality control issues since the move. i had to take back two china ones because they didn't work!
i'll try to take some photos today of the different series.....

Looks like the windowsill of an apartment in my neighborhood-do you have a second home in Seattle :rollhappy:?

Wait? Do I smell something? Is someone passing something around? You missed me.

HA! Dude, totally psychedelic! Takes me back many, many years.

Who'd ever imagine that lava lamps would be one day manufactured in China then sold to nostalgic Americans and not work. Perhaps there will be a recall. I can see the headline now - "Bum Chinese Hippie Lamps Under Recall" - what has the world come to?

Ok, so I always thought they were silly but you have changed my opinion 180.

mesmerizing & beautiful too.
From what you said about quality control, maybe you should play it safe and not collect any that made in China, wouldn't want to risk a fire.

The Glorious and magnanimous People's Democratic Republic objects Comrade Hien, and we will be sending the 5th and 6th army groups to New Jersey to begin your re-education!

:rollhappy::rollhappy:Sorry I will perform self-criticism, and write a whole admission of all my bourgeoisie feudalistic capitalistic personal weaknesses such as collecting orchids:rollhappy::rollhappy:
