The blooming one is 1 of 3 I got some years ago from a now unfortunately closed nursery just over the Luxbg. border to Germany!! The bud is on a Popow plant that I got 2 years ago: 2growths, when I repotted showed up to be 2 plants; and they are both in bud now :) !! Jean

Very nice Jean. I love those hang dog petals. You are doing well with these. I bought two a while ago. One was a large NFS plant and cost a bit more money. It died pretty quickly. The other was a small seedling and has grown steadily. It must be close to flowering size now.

Update as per 17/02

First: the lovely bud of pic 1 unfortunately, didn't make it: the petals didn't raise! I clipped the bloom off after some days!

then: the 3 spikes' plant is in full bloom now, so still good after 3 weeks +! The shape is not terrible this year!

Then 1 of the 2 still in spike, looks like it is going to bring up 2 flowers:

The three flowered plant is fantastic Jean and it looks as though the flowers themselves have improve considerably from previous years! Too bad about that crazy single budded plant.:( Surely it will improve next blooming! :p

Double buds! awesome!:D

I can't add anything else Jean. Bravo:clap:

Beautiful, the only thing that is turning me off of this species is the short lived flower. Glad to know that your's are still nice after 3 weeks of enjoyment.

...Do you have any tips for keeping them alive? Mine always flower then immediately die.

As I already wrote in the previous years' threads, Imo they are a very, very forgiving species in my environment!!! Even sunburn didn't kill them, just somewhat defigured, but the new growths being ok again! I keep them in my gh in clay pots, at different locations, no bright light ...! Jean

Update 26.03

The 3rd bloom of the large plant has faded 3 days ago!

Here the 2 blooms of the in-bud plant prev. pictured:

And last but not least the 2nd Popow plant opening its flower:
