neo. kochou no mai

First one out of the gate this year. Obtained form OL last year.

No fragrance yet. Perhaps is still needs a day or two to develop?

It's supposed to be an odd flower form. I'm not sure what its supposed to look like. I haven't seen to many photos online. Anyone have experience with this variety?

I've seen them open up a bit more. Maybe temperature plays a part(?) Here's a link to some photos via Google Images:

It seems there's some variability in the butterfly flower form, but the key feature is the green color displayed on only part of the flower.

It's more certainly a healthy, beautiful plant and I'm looking forward to seeing the blooms open completely.

Thanks to your initial link, I realized that i have to put "富貴蘭" before the varietal names to get a good search out of it.

The beni hichou is nice. The short list just got a little longer.
