I like this variety too. It is a great alternative to Seikai, since it is a much faster grower and is more generous about flowering too. You don't see many big clumps of Seikai, but you do with Unkai.

I really like these with their touch of pink at the base. As Tom said, a very rewarding variety to grow. Last year my plant surprised me with four spikes, ... I didn't think that the two slightly smaller growths were mature enough to flower but they did, so yes, it's generous with spikes.

Marco, your neo season is early compared to mine. I have only Neo richardsiana in full bloom now, but then this one is always about a month ahead of my others. Just curious, do you use supplementary lighting ?
