Hi all,
I live near Shaftesbury, North Dorset, UK.
I have been owned by orchids for 3 1/2 yrs & have built up a small collection (possibly 40ish, but I haven't counted recently) of mostly Odontoglossums, Phals & Cyms, + a Den keiki ... Some are young plants, so I eagerly anticipate the beauty to come when they flower for me.
Last winter I fell in love with my first Phragmipedium, which I saw at an orchid show and proudly brought home..... .
I'm fast running out of windowsill space :) but have so much to learn. I hope you will put up with my possibly stupid questions. Thank you.

No question is a stupid one. Just ask as many as you want.

This is a great forum to learn in and I am sure it will have everything you need.

Good luck with the Phrag, they are awesome.

Welcome to Slippertalk! You came to the right place- this is a great forum to learn from!! I have been growing orchids for 2 1/2 years and find this forum very helpful.

One thing you'll learn is how to fit more orchids into the house!

All these (except for a few bought in Chicago) were in my house in September

I love that statement! It so fits! Don't worry about your "small" collection. Stick around here and I promise it will grow.

I'm impressed -- I thought I had a lot of plants in my house!

Welcome, Flowerfaerie!
You'll have so much fun as your living space becomes less and less human oriented! I say, just knock out the walls and build a greenhouse "side" to the building! (easier said than done, naturally...)
