Excellent. With a clonal name like that did it originate in the Eric Young orchid Foundation?
I know they've colchicined many of their phrag hybrids,
David

Actually they did not do like that...

Don Wimber did the original CT of besseae Peru (no stolons), besseae normal, dalessandroi, and hybrids of those types. He made as well Dick Clements, Hanne Popow, Eric Young, besseae x pearcei, and a few others whose names escape me now.

After he passed away, they tried to use an external lab ( the Eric Young lab was, to be kind, exceptionnally primitive), then back to the EYOF, however, to the best of my knowledge, since those days, they only bred 4n from that time together, but did not do hard core colchicine treatment. CT is very difficult if you do not know how to do, don't have the timing, and the proper recovery media ( in fact, an improper recovery media, and you kill all the converted protocorms, keeping only the diploids alive, like with coconut water for paphs).

Great Jason Fischer btw...
