I have a few Paphs to catch up on. First one is a second flowering for this callosum (Shirley AM/AOC x Dark). I've never found callosum that easy to grow but this one is doing nicely for me. Easily the most vigorous clone I have. Ironically I got it from a guy here who was having no luck with it. I think the fact that he was deliberately growing the base of the plant an inch above the potting mix may have had something to do with it.

Nice clone I think.

Back at your base David? Very cool pic of a friendly looking bloom!!!! Jean

Yes, I repotted it so the plant was sitting properly. It took off after that. I think the previous owners theory was if you keep it high the plant won't rot. The problem is none of the emerging roots survive.

The plant I received initially had 2 growths which fell apart when repotted. So I have another identical looking division which is also currently in flower.

Have to agree with all others......very nice clone. Have you named it David?

No, I haven't given it a name. It hasn't been judged, so it is not awarded or anything.

Any plant that is worth keeping (or giving away) divisions of is worth giving a clonal name.

Couldn't of said it better Kirk! Give it a name David:)

OK. I'm not into giving clonal names just for the sake of it. It has to be an exceptional clone to be worthy of it. Otherwise it looks as if you are just trying to increase its sale value.

But assuming this is worthy of a clonal name I will call it -

Paph callosum "Rabina" (for personal reasons).
