Here is my first blooming of this plant that I imported in 2007 from AQ Orchids in Hong Kong. The seller's name was Avery Chan. I do not believe that the nursery is a going concern (I can't find the web page and this link hints at his battle with cancer: http://www.musemag.hk/MuseTheatre/2007/Muse Oct 2007_9_II.htm). That said, the plant barely survived the fumigation and the rest of the import process. It only now has had the strength to bloom. The flowers were opening with the lateral sepals-turned-lips cupped over the proper lip. I decided to manually un-cup them, but the flower does not look like the image I received from Avery Chan (the one with the AQ Orchids logo on the image). Maybe I should not have waited so long to un-cup them?

That is really cute JP! Does it have all the normal reproductive parts too? (at least in the true lip)

Wow! Line bred peloric. If it opens up it might look the same but why would you want to!? :pity:

I don't believe that it was line-bred. I'm pretty sure that this was a division (at least the price reflected that). I do sort of like the look of the image I received from Avery. It has a bubble gum look about it.
