Hello,

This is a Paph. Druid Spring that I recently picked up from potterychef1 on eBay. The flower is intermediate between the the species, primulinum and druryii. I'm liking it. It appears to take after the sequential-blooming primulinum in that there is a second bud coming along.

I love it. It is a beautiful flower!! I just put it on my wish list. Got smart. Have notebook handy when I visit this forum. Lots of great info.

Nice wide dorsal. Both parents are relatively small flowers. What's the ns of the dorsal and the overall flower?

The dorsal measures 1-3/4 inches across at its widest point. The petal spread is 2-7/8 inches as you see it in the photos. More if I would straighten them out. The dorsal and petals are cupped like druryii. I've never seen a pure druryii flower but I think they tend to be smaller in size. Same with primulinums. I'm guessing that hybrid vigor is the reason for the flower size that we see here.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

:clap::clap: Looks like a good one Nik!
In my area, the ones I've seen .......
well let's put it this way, don't own one yet .....
but yours is a different story!

That's a very nice primary !!! I really like both parents. I haven't gotten a druryii yet but hopefully I'll have one in a couple of weeks. Again; congrats on the bloom !!!
