Paph. Druid Spring (primulinum x druryi)

It's got two spikes this year. The flowers are nice and bright, and have the distinctive druryi sepal and petal stripes. For some reason I was thinking this clone was fragrant, but I haven't detected any scent this time around.

Congrats on two spikes! Yay!!

Does the flower turn yellow eventually or?

I don't think this hybrid is supposed to be fragrant?

Great growing. I love this hybrid since druryi is impossible (for me) to bloom. Flowers are a tad small but the flower count and color are tough to beat.

To my eyes, the flower is more yellow than what the photo shows. The lip has a bit of tan-yellow contrast to the rest of the flower. The greenish coloration is probably two-fold. First, my point-n-shoot camera tends to add a bluish cast to photos, and second, the back of the sepals are somewhat green, so with the backlighting it makes the overall color appear a bit more green.

Some of them are fragrant, albeit slightly, from the P. primulinum parent. Kind of like honey, sourdough, or yeasty/beer. I swear I thought this clone was fragrant when I bought it. Either that or I've lost my ability to detect this particular scent. Not everybody can smell it, at least in my experience.

As a dend devotee I have to ask, what is the dendrobium to the left of your lovely paph?

It's a NOID, supposedly warmth tolerant nobile-type, bought cheap as an experiment to see if I can grow and bloom them in my conditions. It looked like it was going to produce a few buds on the largest cane, but the nubs stalled, and I assume if they do decide to develop further, they'll be keikis instead of flowers.
