If that's what's on the label, then it's misidentified. I doubt this is a dayanum hybrid. It's almost certainly a P. dianthum hybrid. Assuming the Henrietta portion is correct, then I'd say this is Henrietta Fujiwara x dianthum.
I really don't see much in it that would necessarily come from dayanum. In a very general way the flower has a shape that could reflect dayanum, but I would expect some mottling of the leaves. The staminode looks very Pardalopetalum. Henrietta Fujiwara can have slightly twisted petals from primilinum. Perhaps an accidental selfing of HF could give this much petal length and twist in a flower like this. It does have some resemblance to Paph Spaghetti (HF x philippinense). Otherwise I'd have to wonder if parishii was in there somewhere.
I doubt they were the originators.
'Japanese Doll' name has been used by Takano and Kimara - I cant find who they work for so you can find the original list to confirm the cross.
