This one has been growing in a 3-inch pot for about five years. It a really nice species. If you don't have one you need one.

WoW I'm seeing spots! Super culture job and fine looking flowers. Any tricks to your specimen size culture of this species?

4 blooms=awesome, I also really like the form of the dorsal. Mine is looking like it will finally open soon, but it doesn't have the 'wiggly' shape to the dorsal. :)

Got one. Actually, got three. Had them for over 10 years. Won't bloom. How do you get yours to bloom? I've tried cold, warm, high light, low light, drier, wetter. Nothing.

Thanks for the comments everybody - I sincerely appreciate it. I grow this one (and almost all my orchids) S/H style. I water about once every five days, with MSU fertilizer at about 1/4 tsp/gal in RO water. It is grown under four 34-watt fluorescent bulbs that are on about 14 hours a day. The plant is about a foot from the bulbs. A oscillating fan runs all the time. The temperature is between 60F in the winter and maximum of about 75F in the summer.

One twist is I lightly mist the S/H pebbles daily - just enough to dampen the top pebbles. All my orchids seem to like that - especially the slippers. Thanks to Lance Birk for suggesting that trick.
