I've had this plant for about a year, this is its first blooming (for me). Two spikes.

Very nice. Do you know what the parents are? It almost looks like a Paph. Taiwan (= rothschildianum x platyphyllum). Paph. platyphyllum used to be called Paph. stonei var. latifolium, so some hybrids made with this species are often mislabeled.

I feel pretty confident that it is a Paph. Taiwan. I remade this cross, and it will be blooming next week. I will post a picture of it so you can compare it. Also look at the picture I posted earlier of Paph. Lady Isabel 'Princess Irene' that one is more typical (in color and shape) of a true Lady Isabel.

I agree that it looks more like Taiwan. Here's a photo of mine for comparison.
Yours is a very nice one!

Mark is it really this yellow? If so, then I would agree with Robert

And by-the-way, it a fine looking flower

Just so you know, the stonei should be obvious......but here is the primary hybrid details........I believe your plant is labelled correctly.

Paphiopedilum Lady Isabel (Paphiopedilum rothschildianum x Paphiopedilum stonei)

Yes but some that are labeled as Lady Isabel were made with stonei var latifolium BEFORE that plant was reclassified as platyphyllum. Those are now know as Paph Taiwan.

Paph Lady Isabel...rothschildianum x stonei
Paph Taiwan...rothschildianum x platyphyllum

It is hard to know if the label on your plant doesn't have the exact parentage listed.

Here are two comparison photos of my Taiwan and Lady Isabel for reference.

Wow, my eye must be getting a little better because my first thought was "looks like they used platyphyllum"

Anyway, it's fabulous. Two spikes too!
