Paphiopedilum leucochilum, considered by some to be a variety of Paph godefroye.

This is from a flask purchased from Ching Hua about 3 years ago. The dorsal curves forward considerably, but the flower is reasonably large. I have a couple others from the flask going into spike, so I'm looking forward to seeing those blooms for comparison.

Very nice flower Rick. I really like the "shine" the flower has. Is this normal? When mine bloomed it looked more matted or I didn't notice a shine.

The pouch looks like as if it was carved from ivory - this flower looks great.
I second what Jean said, its amazing to grow it from deflasking to flowering within 3 years. Looking forward to seeing the other ones.

Best regards from Germany, GuRu

Thanks for the comments. I think the pouch of leucochilum makes it a more attractive alternative to godefroye.
