Hi guys,

Hope you like this one, it's a bit different. Another first time flowering for me, not bad for the first time anyway. It's been growing cold in winter and hot in summer and spends most of the time outside. It is growing better than most other Paphs I've grown and is very healthy. What do you think?

Yeah the colour is a suprise, not sure why the colour is so pale. Glad you all like it.

Hopefully next time will be even better.

;-)

Here is the actual plant with the flower spike now cut off as you can see....

Nice flower and plant. But when did it flower, that spike has been cut a while back?

This is what mine looked like last year. Unfortunately the pouch was deformed, possibly because it was posted to me in bud. I'm hoping it'll look better the next time it blooms. The flower itself was pretty large.

Hmmmmm maybe it is possible for a lot of variation in this cross. Yes the plant is fairly small so maybe that's part of the problem.

I am hoping that the next time it flowers it has bigger size and better colour. But I will keep it either way, it's not a bad flower I guess.

Darren, if you have a list from the nursery, see if there is a cross of P. Deperle x micranthum or reverse. This cross has just been registered as Demmel's Little Puppet. Its just possible that this cross may produce the flower you have or the label is wrong. IMO
