Nice one. That has the shortest stem I have seen. Any ideas as to why? Maybe I can coax one of mine.

A very healthy plant. I think the temperature of your slide is not high, right? It is very difficult to flower, or even grow, such species in Hong Kong due to high summer temperature here.

Nice one. Beautiful leaves!
Do you have trouble with the rhizomes finding their way to the surface?
Have you ever noticed any got stuck in the media?

Nice accomplishment. Is this a typical time of the year, June/July, for this species to bloom in your your area? It seems late in the season.

Thanks everyone.

I am not sure. This is a division of spaph clone and it seems like its variable. Sometimes it has long spike and sometimes it doesnt.

Pretty extreme temp swings. Summer time can reach up to 30c in the enclosure, winter is 16c..

Very nice. What media?

fine bark, perlite, hydroton and coco peat/peatmoss.

If you use clear pot. The stolon might open under the mix when it reaches the side of the pot. I think the stolons are light triggered. When they see light, they will open. If you use dark pots. It will just keep roaming under the mix until it finds the surface (or the bottom holes) of the mix.

Thanks, very odd and out of season I would say. Normally it blooms in the spring for me.
