Finally bloomed for me. I thought I was going to lose it last month when one of the leaves got infected with erwinia. I removed the leaf and sprayed with aspirin water, then packed every possible surface with cinnamon. That seemed to stop it cold. Pretty pleased with four flowers being grown in a window.

That's gorgeous. Nice long petals.

My phil seems to spike in the spring, but it's one of the smaller growing & smaller flowered forms (sold to me as laevigatum, not certain on the ID though).

Erwinia is a bummer, glad the natural stuff worked for you.

Good job! I've never heard of aspirin water as a treatment method...would you care to share some information about that? Is it a pre-prepared product - or do you make the concoction yourself? And what solution do you use?

Thank you in advance! :)

Kind regards, Jens

Thank you everyone!

I will try to get a face shot this weekend. I did take some but they didn't turn out well....will do more.

All my plants are kept in a HUGE south facing window in the fall, winter and spring. They go out on the deck late May and come back in the house in September. So they do get a bit of a night cool down in late August/early September.

Here's the link to the aspirin water discussion.... http://www.slippertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25983&highlight=aspirin

Looking good Wendy. Mine is opening up at the moment. Ours are flowering at the same time despite being in different hemispheres.
